We are looking for
A Network Security Operations Lead to join our team in Dartford. You’ll take ownership of day‑to‑day delivery across our Network Security function, setting priorities, tracking progress, and leading a team of Network Security Engineers to deliver secure, high‑quality outcomes aligned to business needs.

What you will be doing:
* Lead and develop a team of Network Security Engineers, setting clear expectations, accountability, and a high standard of performance.
* Drive end‑to‑end delivery of network and network security initiatives, with clear ownership, milestones, and outcomes.
* Plan, prioritise, and balance workloads across projects, service improvements, and BAU activity to maximise team effectiveness.
* Maintain delivery momentum, proactively managing risks, dependencies, and blockers.
* Provide clear governance and reporting, delivering concise, regular updates on progress, risks, and issues.
* Act as the primary Network Security contact, aligning stakeholders and managing expectations.
* Oversee third‑party providers, ensuring service quality and timely issue resolution.
* Provide technical oversight and assurance, ensuring solutions align with business needs and agreed direction.
* Ensure adherence to change control, organisational standards, and audit requirements.
Our Ideal Person:
* Proven people leader with experience managing, coaching, and developing technical teams in a delivery‑focused environment.
* Strong project and delivery management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and drive initiatives through to completion.
* Technically credible in network and network security concepts, able to challenge, review, and guide technical solutions (without needing to be hands‑on).
* Excellent prioritisation and decision‑making ability, confident balancing competing demands across projects and service improvement.
* Clear and confident communicator, able to engage engineers, senior stakeholders, and third‑party partners alike.
* Structured and organised, with a strong grasp of governance, reporting, change control, and risk management.
* Accountability‑driven, comfortable setting expectations, holding others to account, and maintaining delivery momentum.
* Stakeholder‑focused, able to align technical delivery with business priorities and manage expectations effectively.
* Calm under pressure, capable of navigating complexity, resolving blockers, and making pragmatic decisions.
* Continuous improvement mindset, always looking to improve processes, capability, and ways of working.
