Commercial Director – Starlink & Next Gen Connectivity


On-site in Livingston, Scotland


Our client is one of the leading authorised Resellers of Starlink globally, specialising in innovative connectivity solutions – including satellite internet (LEO - OneWeb/Starlink), SD-WAN, private 5G, and wireless networking – helping organisations worldwide build reliable, secure, and scalable networks.

They are now seeking a Commercial Director to take full ownership of commercial strategy, revenue performance, and growth initiatives across enterprise and specialist markets.


This is a senior leadership role, responsible for shaping and executing the company’s commercial roadmap – spanning product strategy, partnerships, pricing, and commercial strategy – and positioning their Starlink offering as the leading solution for remote and resilient connectivity.


The ideal candidate will bring deep commercial acumen, strategic foresight, and strong leadership skills, with experience driving profitability and growth in a fast-moving technology or connectivity environment. You’ll play a pivotal role in helping guide the business through its next phase of expansion, developing new revenue streams, and building long-term enterprise and channel partnerships across the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities


* Define and lead the commercial strategy – aligning sales, marketing, partnerships, and product initiatives to deliver sustainable revenue growth.
* Work closely with the Sales Director, ensuring predictable and scalable revenue across LEO satellite connectivity, SD-WAN, private 5G, and related solutions.
* Develop strategic partnerships with technology vendors, distributors, and enterprise clients to strengthen market position and expand reach.
* Drive commercial planning including pricing, margins, and P&L accountability, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Technical teams to shape value propositions and influence product direction.
* Support international market entry and new sector development, identifying emerging opportunities for expansion.
* Define a Commercial Playbook, including contracts and commercial negotiations across customer, partner and supplier engagements

Requirements


* 5+ years of commercial leadership experience in technology businesses (LEO satellite or emerging connectivity experience advantageous, but not essential).
* Proven success driving revenue and margin growth in a high-growth or scale-up business.
* Strong strategic and financial acumen, including experience with pricing strategy, P&L management, and commercial negotiations.
* Excellent relationship builder and communicator, confident engaging with C-suite executives, partners, and customers.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with the agility to operate in a dynamic, evolving market.
* Strong leadership presence, capable of balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution.
