Your new role
As the Year 1 Teacher, you will:
1. Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum.
2. Support pupils as they transition from EYFS into more formal learning
3. Use assessment effectively to track progress and inform next steps.
4. Work closely with the KS1 team, teaching assistants, and senior leaders
5. Create a nurturing, stimulating classroom environment where children can flourish
This role is open to both experienced teachers and confident ECTs seeking a supportive start to their career.
What you'll need to succeed
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
7. Experience teaching in KS1 (placement experience considered)
8. Strong understanding of phonics and early literacy development
9. A positive, child-centred approach to teaching
10. The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
