Bookkeeper – Accountancy Practice
Location: Seaford, East Sussex
Salary: £24,000 – £32,000 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
An established and friendly accountancy practice in Seaford is looking to welcome a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident professional who enjoys working with a broad range of clients and thrives in a supportive, close-knit environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing bookkeeping duties for a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors
* Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank reconciliations, and VAT returns
* Using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
* Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries
* Supporting accountants with year-end preparation where needed
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice environment is essential
* Solid understanding of VAT and general bookkeeping principles
* Proficiency in cloud accounting platforms
* Excellent communication skills and client service approach
* AAT qualification is desirable but not essential if experience is strong
