Reporting to the Tool Service Manager and based near Coleshill, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out inspections, preventative maintenance, fault diagnostics and repair of a varied range of tooling, working Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm with an 11.30am finish on a Friday, switching to Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and then 8am to 2pm on a Friday, rotating each fortnight. Working as part of a team you will be mindful of company objectives and strive to meet or exceed the KPIs and metrics on an ongoing basis, and will be responsible for using SAP to allocate labour and components to each repair as well as updating and managing the tooling databases in order to ensure accuracy of information. Working with the commercial contact to ensure customer requirements are achieved, you will undertake the processing and picking of tool repairs for despatch and performing Hand tool calibrations and inspections in a busy workshop environment. Committed to the highest levels of Customer Satisfaction and Service, as junior technician you will assist in the achievement of the department in reaching weekly departmental output hours, dependant on total input hours, reducing customer lead-times and liaising with relevant departments, so excellent communication skills at all levels are essential for the position. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have achieved good GCSE / A levels (grade A-C) and demonstrate at least 1 years' experience in repairs with mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and hydraulics exposure gained in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment. You will be confident in the use of the MS Suite of packages with knowledge of SAP / ERP proving distinctly advantageous.
