About the Client
Our client is a global leader in advanced aerospace design and manufacturing, currently undergoing a major digital transformation that unites design, production, and supply chain operations into a seamless, fully integrated environment. To support this next generation of innovation, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Circuit Designer to join their dynamic Wing Engineering Design Team in Filton.
The Electrical Circuit Designer Role
You’ll play a pivotal role within the Wing Engineering Design Team, validating and developing electrical installation design data for manufacture. You’ll interpret functional requirements to produce and maintain Principle Diagrams (PDs), Extended Principle Diagrams (EPDs), and Wiring Diagrams (WDs) using tools such as Capital Logic and SeeXP.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and validate electrical installation design data in line with defined processes and standards.
* Support functional validation and configuration documentation for electrical systems (ATA28 & ATA32).
* Translate functional requirements into PDs, EPDs, and WDs within Capital and SeeXP toolsets.
* Manage deviations, analyse design requirements, and drive cross-functional integration for “right first time” delivery.
* Engage in risk mitigation, milestone delivery, and continuous improvement across the electrics lifecycle.
Essential Skills
* Proven background in Functional Electrics design and integration across complex engineering programmes.
* Demonstrable experience with Capital Logic (essential).
* Strong working knowledge of SeeXP, Circe, ICC/ACP, Zamiz, ECM, DPDS, ACC2, BCAWD, Optegra or PASS/VPM.
* Experience interpreting and producing Wiring Diagrams (WDs), Principle Diagrams (PDs), and Extended Principle Diagrams (EPDs).
* Ability to validate electrical design data, analyse requirements, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
* Desirable: Functional Electrics Approval Signatory or prior delegation.
