IT Application Support Practitioner
Location: Barrow-in-Furness. This role will require full time, on site working
Salary: Circa £40,000
What you'll be doing
* Assisting in the investigation, diagnosing and resolving technical issues reported by end users to ensure continuous system availability and user satisfaction
* When fully trained in role, will support in providing hands on, immediate assistance to users often in person to help effectively use and troubleshoot Business Engineering applications and services, ensuring smooth operations and optimal performance
* Assisting in monitoring the application performance and stability, identifying and resolving potential issues to maintain optimal service availability and user experience
* User administration of various toolsets
* Monitoring the environment of applications and tracking performance
* When fully trained in role, you will be providing basic application user training
Your skills and experiences
Essential:
* Experience of using and applying MS and/or Oracle SQL
* Ability to undertake database problem solving
Desirable:
* You will need to have prior experience gained with Siemens Teamcenter
* An ITIL certification
* Experience of working with Linux and Unix systems

The Product Development Service Delivery team
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Product Development Service Delivery Team where you will support the investigation and resolution of end user incidents. You will also provide users with expert at-elbow support with Business Engineering Applications and Services. This is an exciting time to join the team as they are embarking on a new project to migrate the Astute data into an In-Service support system. Therefore, transitioning from the legacy data to up to date, state of the art system. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
