Trainee Fire Extinguisher Technician - North West
Join Marlowe Fire & Security as a Trainee Fire Extinguisher Technician. You will develop hands-on skills in fire extinguisher maintenance, inspection, and testing, key knowledge for a career in fire safety.
During the first six months, you will receive industry-leading training delivered by our expert team at Marlowe. This includes a blend of classroom-based learning and practical, on-the-job experience at client sites. You will be mentored by an experienced Engineer to support your professional development. You will also be enrolled in a specialist industry course toward becoming BS 5306 qualified.
Responsibilities
* The primary objective is to develop the skills and knowledge to become a fully qualified Fire Extinguisher Technician
* Work alongside experienced Fire Extinguisher Technicians to gain hands-on experience
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with a diverse client base, representing the company to high standards
* Communicate clearly with customers about the status and condition of their fire safety equipment
* Collaborate with Service Administrators to meet customer requirements and service expectations
* Manage, care for, and secure vehicle stock, tools, and equipment
* Demonstrate a positive attitude toward training and development, carrying out duties professionally
* Flexibility to travel and stay overnight may be required during peak periods and through the training programme
Requirements
Essential Professional Experience
* Possession of a full UK driving licence
* Willingness and flexibility to travel for work and training
Desirable Professional Experience
* Previous experience with mechanical fire protection systems (e.g., sprinklers, suppression systems)
* Technical background within the mechanical fire safety industry
* Experience in a customer-facing role with strong interpersonal and communication skills
