Job description
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Manchester for an experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant with a strong SEN background.
This is a full-time role supporting students aged 11–16 with a range of additional needs. The school is looking for a confident, proactive TA who can provide consistent classroom support and targeted interventions.
The Role:
* Supporting students with SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and MLD
* Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
* Assisting teachers with differentiated learning strategies
* Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
* Helping to implement EHCP targets
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a TA in a secondary school
* Strong SEN experience (essential)
* Confident supporting challenging behaviour where required
* A patient, resilient and proactive approach
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
