We are looking for Data Network Engineers to join the Operational Networking team to help support the UK wide data network which provides mission critical services Commercial Telecoms Customers. Key Responsibilities: As a Tier-3 Data Network Engineer your role will cover the following areas: · Maintain & monitor national networks running L2 switching, L3 routing, SDWAN, wireless & firewall services · Provide day-to-day maintenance and monitoring of the networking infrastructure both LAN and WAN · Provide Tier-3 technical support to our Neos Noc and Customers supporting fault investigations · Collaborate with network architects on network design and optimisation. · Liaise with project management teams to carry out network builds and deployment. · Provide on-call standby support within a team rota (after a provisional joining period) What do I need? Essential for the applicant to have: · Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NEXUS switch/router hardware configuration and support experience · Layer 2 knowledge – Ethernet, Spanning Tree and VLANs · Layer 3 knowledge – OSPF, BGP, IP addressing/subnetting, VRF, ACLs · Good customer-facing skills · Comfortable working within a team as well as individually Preferred to have a background in some of the following, but not essential for application: · Juniper : QFX10k, QFX5k VXLAN · Cisco Wireless : WLC, Prime, Meraki · Firewall : Checkpoint, ASA, Juniper SRX hardware · Silver Peak : SDWAN troubleshooting · CCNP accredited · CCSA accredited We are looking for career driven, hungry and ambitious individuals who are seeking to develop a successful network engineering career within the telecoms industry.
