Chadwick Nott is delighted to be working with a respected regional law firm seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join their Bridport office on a locum basis starting December 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced litigator to manage a varied caseload with flexibility and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
* Handling a broad range of civil litigation matters including contested probate, property disputes, and boundary issues
* Providing clear, pragmatic advice to clients across contentious matters
* Managing files independently from instruction to resolution
* Liaising effectively with clients, counsel, and third parties
* Supporting the litigation team and contributing to ongoing casework
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
* Minimum 5 years' PQE in civil litigation
* Proven expertise in contested probate is essential
* Strong working knowledge of property litigation and boundary disputes
* Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
* Ability to hit the ground running and work with minimal supervision
