Our Aberdeen-based client is currently seeking a Workshop Technician for an initial two-week contract, with the potential for the role to become permanent. ROLE As a Workshop Technician, you are employed to strip, inspect, and rebuild various mechanical equipment and associated components, and provide support to the Workshop Supervisor and Operations team, to ensure smooth and effective running of projects / jobs, ensuring all targets are achieved. RESPONSIBILITIES Strip, inspect and rebuild of various equipment including associated components. Ensure all reporting is precise, detailed and completed in a timely manner and to compamy standard. Make recommendations to line supervisor to ensure reliability of Equipment is maintained. Escalate key faults or product failures to relevant department and progress through to resolution. Inspect equipment for conformance with operational standards, service bulletins and safety alerts. Accurately complete work routers and any additional paperwork in a timely manner. Correctly identify part requirements, ensuring all details are accurate. Maintain all associated paperwork and systems as required. Read and interpret P&ID’s, engineering drawings and schematics to assist in work procedures. Carry out fault finding on various pieces of equipment. Accurately complete all required internal and client requested paperwork in a timely manner. Report any faulty equipment and tools in the correct manner. Carry out planned maintenance on equipment. Communicate regularly with Workshop Supervisor, Manager and Operations Team as and when required. Provide technical expertise to diagnose, analyse and rectify faults. Perform housekeeping duties daily and maintain cleanliness of workspaces at all times. Always comply with HS&E policies and procedures, contributing as required in Toolbox Talks etc. · Report all accidents and incidents to supervisor immediately. Suggesting improvements and simplified methods of working, procedures, and systems through continuous improvement activities. Travel out-with regular place of work, both locally and internationally, as required on an ad-hoc basis. To carry out all duties in accordance with company/ customer policy, while upholding MRDS® company values. Authority Verify and sign off route cards at each stage of services. Preparation of findings and summary report. Preparation and conducting function test of equipment. Preparation of function test and final inspection reports. REQUIREMENTS Time Served mechanic, with extensive experience in this role. IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Excellent Organisational and Planning skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and to delivery schedules Attention to detail and accuracy Problem solving skills Ability to work on own initiative Flexible and motivated. Valid driving licence. Special Licences may be required to operate certain vehicles. Manual Handling.
