Employing council South Oxfordshire District Council Closing Date: 2nd June 2025 About the role and what we’re looking for Job purpose The Energy Technical & Compliance Support Officer will play a critical role in supporting the local council's energy management initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and contributing to sustainability goals. This position involves technical support, data analysis, and compliance monitoring to optimize energy use across council facilities and operations. About you Your essential skills, knowledge and experience • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in energy management software and Microsoft Office Suite. • Excellent organizational and project management abilities. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Knowledge of relevant energy legislation and compliance requirements. Your essential qualifications • Qualification in Energy Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy management, technical support, or a similar role. If you have the following experience or qualifications – it’s a bonus • Experience with energy monitoring and management systems is highly desirable. • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various council facilities. • Willingness to undergo a background check. • Commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
