The Project
Delivery of a substantial number of new prisoner places at a prison in Thetford. The works comprise construction of new buildings along with some refurbishment/upgrade of existing facilities.
Role Overview
This role will provide end‑to‑end project management across the project lifecycle to meet defined time, cost, technical performance, and quality requirements. This is a client‑facing role. You will be responsible for leading a team in the delivery of the project, be highly motivated, understand developing a project plan, identify any specialist requirements, and lead an existing professional team to drive forward the client’s strategy.
Attendance on‑site at least three days a week is required.
Responsibilities
* Applying local HSW standards and quality systems.
* Managing construction delivery and NEC4 obligations.
* Driving programme, risks, and reporting.
* Maintaining strong governance and change control.
* Coordinating stakeholders and communication.
* Managing budgets and supporting sustainable outcomes.
* Managing teams, innovation and performance.
Requirements
* Professional membership (RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE) or equivalent development.
* Proven public‑sector project delivery experience, ideally including prison programmes.
* Strong project management, commercial acumen, and stakeholder leadership.
* Skilled in NEC4, sustainability considerations, and flexible to UK mobility.
