Location: Surrey (excellent transport links)
Contract: Permanent, starting September 2026
Salary: Main Scale / Upper Scale (Fringe)
Our client, a successful and highly regarded 11–18 academy in Surrey, is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join their thriving and forward-thinking faculty from September 2026.
Due to continued growth in their Sixth Form, this is an excellent opportunity to join a popular and high-performing English department with a strong track record of delivering outstanding outcomes at both GCSE and A Level.
The school offers a supportive and collaborative environment, with a clear focus on both student achievement and staff development.
The successful candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Have experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
* Have experience teaching Key Stage 5 (desirable but not essential)
* Have a genuine passion for English and a commitment to high-quality teaching
* Enjoy working with young people and inspiring them to achieve their full potential
* Be keen to contribute to a collaborative and supportive team culture
* Bring energy, enthusiasm, and a positive outlook to the role
* Be reflective and committed to their own professional development
