Job Description:
We are looking for 2 x Edgebander Machine Operators to work on a temp to permanent basis in Newton Le Willows.
One will be working permanent days – Monday to Thursday 6am – 2pm and Friday 6am to Starting rate will be per hour/£26 rising to per hour/£29,248 per annum
Permanent nights – 3 nights per week – 12 hour shifts
per hour / £31,583 per annum rising to per hour / £34,519 per annum.
The rates will increase once 12 week probationary period.
Duties for the Edgebander Machine Operator:
Main duties to include:
* The ability to understand the computer program used on the Homag machines
* Complete the task and safely transfer production batches from one department to another following process flow.
* Organise production to ensure that the most effective and efficient approach is taken.
* Ensure a good standard of housekeeping is maintained in all work areas.
* Where necessary clean panels prior to despatch.
* Ensure all panels are to a high-quality standard.
* Ensure all panels are completed in accordance with the job sheet.
* Undertake any other reasonable role as and when required.
* Set the tools, saws and parameters of the machine, when changing product etc.
* Ensure that the correct stock edging has been used for the job.
* Communicate with the production management team and the sales department.
