Overview
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant to join our growing ERP Consulting team. In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in delivering end-to-end Business Central implementations for a diverse range of customers from discovery through design, build, testing, training, and go-live support.
Your primary focus will be on the Finance workstream, ensuring customer business processes are translated into effective, efficient, and compliant Business Central solutions.
Location
This is a UK based role, with occasional travel required to either our London or Poole offices, as well as customer or partner site when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Finance Process Workshops: Lead workshops with customers to understand business requirements and map these to Business Central functionality.
* Solution Design & Configuration: Design and configure Finance modules within Business Central, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable / Receivable, Fixed Assets, Bank & Cash Management, Cash Flow, Cost Accounting, Consolidations, and Intercompany.
* Implementation & Delivery: Manage end-to-end solution delivery, including requirements gathering, documentation, configuration, testing, user training, and post-go-live support.
* Customer Advisory & Best Practice: Provide guidance on financial controls, reporting, and Business Central best practices.
* Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers, Technical Consultants, and other functional teams to deliver high-quality, on-time, and on-budget solutions.
* Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Develop and maintain functional design documents, configuration guides, user manuals, and ensure knowledge transfer to clients and internal teams.
* Pre-Sales Support: Assist with scoping, effort estimation, and solution design for prospective projects.
* Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of implementation methodologies, templates, and toolkits. Stay up to date with Microsoft ecosystem updates (Power Platform, Azure, Co-pilot) to advise clients on future opportunities.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience as a Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV) Consultant with a focus on Finance.
* Hands-on configuration and delivery experience across key finance areas: GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Intercompany & Consolidation, VAT/Tax setup, Banking & Cash Management.
* Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate complex finance requirements into scalable solutions.
* Experience in data migration, testing, and UAT cycles.
* Excellent documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
* Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Power Platform, or integrated tools.
* Exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency, or international rollouts.
* Knowledge of Business Central SaaS deployment and extensions (AL, API integration understanding beneficial).
