Class 1 HGV Driver – Approx. 3 Month Contract (Night Shifts)
We are seeking experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers for a fixed-term 3-month contract working night shifts. This role involves performing both deliveries and collections of caged goods within the South West and South Wales regions.
You will operate in a busy environment where punctuality, vehicle care, and adherence to safety standards are essential. The shift pattern is Saturday through Wednesday, with start times scheduled between 2 pm and 6 pm.
Rate of Pay: £17.93 – £22.46 per hour (PAYE Advance available; other PAYE models also offered)
Shift Pattern: Saturday to Wednesday, start times between 14:00 – 18:00 hrs
Contract Length: 3 Months
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 8 hours pay per shift
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles for both deliveries and collections
* Deliver caged goods to designated locations within the South West and South Wales areas
* Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle at all times
* Adhere to scheduled shift times and complete all assigned routes efficiently
* Ensure all paperwork and delivery documentation is completed accurately
Candidate Requirements
* Valid Class 1 HGV licence
* No more than 6 penalty points on driving licence
* No disqualifications (DD), disqualifications for insurance (DI), or IN10 endorsements
* Experience with caged deliveries preferred
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
* Ability to work night shifts with flexible start times between 14:00 – 18:00 hrs
* Commitment to vehicle cleanliness and safety compliance
