Our Birmingham based client specialises in the provision of bespoke automation and materials handling solutions. They are seeking an articulate, dynamic and highly self‑motivated Contracts Manager: Automation Projects to complement their established project team.
Responsibilities
* Understanding the requirements of a potential Principal Contractor project and developing initial budgetary costing documents...
* Managing the project from a Principal Contractor Project Manager perspective, including full budgetary management of the project...
* Maintaining an overall site activity H and S coordination role...
* Developing CDM legal documentation such as the Construction Phase H and S Plan, TMPs, Fire Safety Plans, etc.
* Protecting the company in matters relating to budgetary and service delivery...
* Managing company suppliers and labour contracts throughout a project...
* Collating all necessary H and S File Information / O and M Manuals from Contractors involved in the project and distributing to the Principal Designer at completion stage.
Qualifications
• NEBOSH Certificate Level 3 (General or Construction), SMSTS trained, member of the Associate of Project Safety (APS). • At least 3 years proven experience in the construction industry with solid commercial acumen, strong skills in budget development, conflict management, project management and business negotiation processes.
