Job Description

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
* Performs mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance. This includes observing devices in operation to locate root causes, dismantling devices to access and remove defective parts, examining parts for imperfections, adjusting functional parts and control instruments, repairing or replacing defective parts, testing device performance, and performing electrical and mechanical system tests. Reconditioning and repairing machine tools are also included.
* Identifies and sources parts, supplies, and repair items as necessary.
* Performs maintenance independently according to industry standards.
* Sets up and operates multiple machining tools such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, and may perform welding tasks. Complies with 5S and housekeeping standards.
* Participates in continuous improvement activities, processes, results, and cost savings.
* Updates records and reviews CMMS history.
* Troubleshoots and analyzes control systems to resolve software, hardware, and configuration issues.
* Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data.
* Assists lower-level technicians and team leadership; performs advanced functions as part of training and development.
* Completes on-the-job and technical self-study programs for career development.
* Follows all safety policies, rules, regulations, and guidelines. Maintains situational awareness to identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Behaviors Required:
Essential KSAs:
* Three or more years of related experience in general industry or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
* Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems; capable of analyzing problems and performing repairs.
* Ability to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
* May be required to travel.
Desirable KSAs:
