Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Transport Administration Clerk to join our dynamic team in Wednesbury. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients transport department. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for logistics, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Produce daily, weekly and monthly spreadsheet based reports
2. Handover to night shift prior to finishing for the day
3. Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure timely deliveries
4. Track shipments and update delivery statuses using transport software
5. Produce customer quotes (training provided)
6. Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company policies
7. Support the transport team with general administrative duties
8. Answer calls and respond to emails
Skills & Qualifications:
9. Previous experience in transport or logistics administration preferred
10. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
11. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) and transport management systems
12. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
13. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
14. A good telephone manner
