About the company:
They are a well-established building contractor company based in the Midlands, delivering high-quality maintenance solutions across a range of commercial properties. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled and reliable Multi-Trade Engineer to join their dynamic team.
Role Overview
As a Multi-Trade Carpenter, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks across a portfolio of commercial sites. You will utilise a broad range of trade skills to ensure our clients’ properties are maintained to the highest standards, providing a first-class service and ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations. As the Multi-Trade Engineer, you will be required to use an app on on the tablet provided for all your itinerary and jobs to be completed,
Key Responsibilities
•Carry out general building maintenance tasks across commercial properties
•Undertake multi-trade duties including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting & decorating, tiling, patch plastering, and minor electrical work.
•Respond promptly and efficiently to reactive maintenance issues.
•Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules.
•Ensure work is completed to a high standard and within agreed SLAs.
•Complete job reports and update internal systems following site visits.
•Liaise with clients and site managers in a professional and courteous manner.
•Comply with company and client H&S policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements
•Proven experience in a similar multi-trade or carpentery role.
•Skilled in at least two core trades (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, decorating, plastering).
•Full UK driving licence (essential).
•Own van and tools and insurances
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•Relevant qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential.
