We are a free and confidential service for adults (18) in Liverpool who are experiencing difficulties with substances. We believe everyone has the ability to make positive changes. We work with individuals, families, carers, and professionals to offer support that’s right for you. Whether you need one-to-one help, group sessions, or access to medication and treatment, we're here for you. Volunteers play a crucial role in helping us bring our vision to life and deliver our services effectively. Their dedication strengthens the quality, reach, and accessibility of our support, allowing us to help even more people. As a Volunteer Administrator you will play a key role is supporting the Criminal Justice service, ensuring all communication between staff, service uses and partner agencies runs smoothly, this includes answering calls and directing enquires. You will be a valued member of the administration team supporting them in various administrative roles including, booking appointments, sending letters and general office duties such as photocopying, filing and scanning. On-the-job training will be provided – all you need is an organised approach and a willingness to learn. Key Activities: Support the team to ensure that telephone calls and visits from service users, outside agencies and RIVER staff are dealt with promptly and courteously. Provide service users with basic advice about the services and signpost them where appropriate To ensure that admin, record-keeping and communication within the project are maintained. Support the team in managing/booking appointments via the electronic diary system Send outgoing letters to service users and partner agencies Maintain general office administrative duties such as filing, photocopying and scanning Maintain accurate records of all contacts on our case management systems Interviews: Will take place towards the last two weeks of February 2026 Training: W ill start on the third week of March (1 day per week for – 6 weeks). 17/1/2026 Alison Fleet | Alison.Fleet@cgl.org.uk | 07471593468 Please note that we require you to be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this volunteering role.
