Job Description
Location: Mindplace Milton Keynes, MK7 7PB
Type: Permanent – Full time or part time (minimum 4 sessions/2 days per week)
Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30am–16:00pm or 14:00pm–22:00pm; weekends 08:30–17:00 (minimum 1 per 3 weekends). Hybrid onsite/remote available.
Overview: As a Clinical Counselling Psychologist within Bupa Health Services, you will use your training and education to support customers by providing therapeutic care, education and wellbeing support across multiple delivery models (face‑to‑face, telephone, video). Your work will directly impact patients’ ability to live healthier, happier lives.
Responsibilities
* Provide high‑quality therapeutic care with excellent clinical outcomes.
* Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations for evidence‑based intervention.
* Offer service across face‑to‑face, telephone and video consultations.
* Adhere to Bupa case management processes and collaborate with Clinical Leads and the therapy team.
* Work within sessional limits based on clients’ Private Medical Insurance allowances.
* Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.
* Offer ad‑hoc wellbeing support and coaching.
* Conduct one‑off assessments and referral recommendations.
* Provide group psycho‑education and mental health awareness through remote presentations, workshops, and training.
* Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa’s service policies.
* Attend regular clinical supervision and monthly team meetings.
* Collaborate with operational and clinical teams to improve client and employee experiences.
Essential Qualifications
* Professional doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society.
* Health and Care Professions Council registration as a Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
* General adult mental health experience.
* At least 1 year’s post‑qualification clinical experience.
Desirable Qualifications
* Training and accreditation in specialised areas of psychological relevance.
* Corporate experience.
* Excellent leadership and management skills.
