Job Overview

Bikaneri Restaurant is looking for a highly skilled and experienced North Indian chef to join our growing team.

We are seeking someone who:

* Has strong experience in authentic North Indian cuisine
* Can confidently manage a busy kitchen environment
* Maintains high standards of quality, hygiene, and consistency
* Brings discipline, leadership, and passion to their craft

Preference:

We strongly prefer candidates who are already in the UK and have the right to work, as this allows for a smoother and quicker start.

However, for truly exceptional talent, we are open to offering visa sponsorship — but only for candidates who are already based in the UK and currently working as chefs. Sponsorship will be considered strictly based on proven skill, experience, and long-term suitability.

Our selection process may include:

* CV shortlisting
* Initial discussion/interview
* A practical trial in our kitchen to assess quality, speed, and consistency

We offer:

* Competitive salary (based on experience and skill level)
* Long-term career growth
* Supportive and professional working environment
* Opportunity to grow with an established and respected restaurant

We take pride in our food — and we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work.

If you believe you're the right fit, please send your CV and a short introduction via LinkedIn message.

Duties

* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely delivery of meals
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment
* Monitor food safety practices, hygiene standards, and cleanliness within the kitchen area
* Collaborate with management to develop new recipes, menu items, and presentation styles
* Ensure all food production meets health regulations and organisational policies
* Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and controlling waste
* Serve dishes to customers when required, maintaining excellent customer service standards
* Lead by example in maintaining a positive work environment and promoting teamwork

Experience

* Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen or hospitality setting
* Extensive background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques
* Demonstrable leadership skills with experience managing teams in fast-paced environments
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, including familiarity with various cuisines
* Experience in serving customers directly is advantageous but not essential

A solid understanding of kitchen operations, culinary arts, and hospitality principles is essential for success in this role

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per month

Benefits:

* Discounted or free food
* Employee mentoring programme
* Free or subsidised travel
* Free parking
* UK visa sponsorship
