Financial Markets department covers both trading book and banking book activities for Bank of China London Branch and Bank of China (UK) Limited. As a Vice President - Bond Investment, you will be responsible for implementing the banking book bond investment and bond issuance strategy set up by Head Office and local Assets and Liability Committee (ALCO). You will also support the business development by providing stable funding and ensure the liquidity safety. This is a full time permanent position.
Key responsibilities
* Responsible for implementing the banking book bond investment and bond issuance strategy set up by Head Office and local ALCO
* Support the Treasury Markets business in providing stable funding for business development and ensure the liquidity safety
* Act as RMB funding specialist to promote RMB business. Build up wide channel with counterparties and monitor onshore and offshore RMB market movement
* Build up proactive working relationship with Head Office, external counterparties and internal stakeholders
* Closely monitor macro and micro economies, identify market opportunities and deliver up-to-date business plan
* Responsible for transaction data analysis and ongoing system upgrade. Conduct regularly business analysis and report as required in English and/or Chinese
* Assist with training of coverage teams, new staff and interns
Requirements
* Degree educated in Banking or Finance or equivalent
* Relevant professional qualification as required (i.e. PRA/FCA Registered Exams) or exemptions, or willingness to undertake relevant qualification
* Demonstrated experience in similar banking background
* Knowledge of Financial Markets products and regulatory compliance
* Good problem solving skills and capacity to work under pressure
* Desire to drive projects from ideation or assignment to execution
* Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills in both English and Mandarin
