Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

Due to the high level security clearance required for this position, we can only accept British Nationals who have been in the UK for a minimum of 10 years.

Salary: Up to £46,000 DOE per annum + Car Allowance

Hours: Week 1 Monday to Friday 07:45 to 16:30 (1615 finish on Friday). Week 2 Monday to Thursday 07:45 to 16:30. Enjoy every other Friday off work with the site's 9-day working fortnight pattern.

Role Overview: You will provide Health, Safety, Environmental, and Wellbeing advice to EMCOR UK's largest defence account, ensuring contractual scope delivery aligns with national and international standards.

What you will do:

* Support the account's assurance audit plan through internal safety & quality audits.
* Lead and inspire the assurance team to foster a positive safety culture.
* Develop assurance strategies and objectives for the contract.
* Ensure compliance with current legislation and EMCOR UK processes.
* Support ongoing accreditation to ISO standards (9001, 45001, 14001, 18001).
* Develop and implement strategies, policies, and guidelines promoting mental and physical wellbeing.
* Produce reports on health, safety, quality, environment, and wellbeing performance metrics.
* Ensure subcontractor compliance with site HSQE requirements.
* Manage delivery of contract obligations.
* Maintain and update site-based aspects and impacts register, including actions.
* Implement and monitor environmental audit schedules.
* Engage with stakeholders including clients, supply chain, authorities, and industry bodies.
* Provide environmental guidance from planning to completion, ensuring standards are met.
* Use environmental KPIs to review and improve performance.
* Drive continual environmental improvement and risk mitigation.

What you will need:

* NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ5 in Occupational Health and Safety qualification.
* CMIOSH or working towards it (advantage).
* PIEMA or working towards it (advantage).
* Thorough knowledge of HSQE systems meeting ISO standards.
* Excellent communication skills, empathetic and discreet.
* Ability to build positive relationships across all levels.
* Proven customer problem resolution skills.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
* Good interpersonal, team, decision-making, and communication skills.
