Vision for Educationis seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in an SEN School in Evesham on a full-time basis.
About the Role:
1. Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, can be a significant advantage.
2. Voluntary or paid roles in educational or care settings may be considered.
3. Familiarity with different types of special educational needs and the educational approaches used to support them.
4. Patience in managing challenging behaviour and helping students progress at their own pace.
About the School:
5. A specialist all-through school in Evesham supporting children and young people aged 3–19 with moderate to complex needs, dedicated to delivering high-quality education.
6. Pupils have a wide range of diagnoses and additional needs, including Autism, physical disabilities, moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, and profound and multiple learning difficulties.
7. The school’s core aims are to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, offering students opportunities to express themselves creatively and positively while building confidence and independence.
8. A strong emphasis is placed on developing life skills, encouraging empathy, social responsibility, and community engagement, helping students grow into caring and responsible individuals who make a positive contribution to society.
About you:-
9. Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism, and sensory needs.
10. Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
11. Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students
12. Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are a suitable qualification for working with children and experience working with special education needs.
