Position: General Cover Supervisor

Salary/Pay Rate: £100 – £120 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role:
A well‑regarded secondary school in Hungerford is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic General Cover Supervisor to support learning across a broad range of subjects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people, has strong organisational skills, and can maintain a structured, positive learning environment in the absence of teaching staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise classes across a variety of subjects in the absence of the usual teacher
* Deliver pre‑prepared lesson plans and activities
* Maintain classroom discipline and encourage a positive learning environment
* Support students’ learning and wellbeing
* Assist with administrative tasks and reporting as required
* Follow all safeguarding and health & safety policies
Person Specification:
* Experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage behaviour effectively and maintain a calm, structured classroom
* Flexible, adaptable, and reliable
* Committed to supporting student achievement and development
