Overview
One of our clients, a well-established engineering firm in Massachusetts, is looking to add an experienced Civil Engineer to their team. This role is ideal for candidates currently working in Boston who may be tired of the long commute and are open to opportunities closer to home. The firm is involved in a wide range of land development projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
Base pay
Base pay range: $86,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
* Design site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, stormwater management systems, and utility infrastructure.
* Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and stormwater analysis.
* Prepare and review plans, specifications, reports, and permit applications.
* Collaborate with clients, architects, municipalities, and surveyors to deliver high-quality solutions.
* Provide construction oversight, respond to RFIs, and ensure compliance with design intent.
* Depending on experience, there is room to step into a Civil Project Engineer, Project Manager – Land Development, or Senior Civil Engineer role.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* PE license preferred, or the ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
* 3–7 years of civil/land/site development experience.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
* Familiarity with Massachusetts zoning, permitting, and land use regulations.
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
