Overview
Entertainment is, and always has been, a huge part of the Butlin's business. We are passionate about delivering great quality entertainment and we're looking for talented Sound Engineers to join our Technical Support Team.
Our entertainment programme is dynamic and varied and our Sound Engineers support shows ranging from theatrical style spoken word performances to full band arrangements. You will work closely with artists, performers and the wider Technical Team to ensure our entertainment continues to delight our guests and create memories that last a lifetime.
Responsibilities
* Set up, operate and maintain our sound systems to deliver excellent sound quality at every show.
* Collaborate with artists, performers and the Technical Team to support a variety of entertainment genres.
* Ensure reliable operation of digital and analogue mixing desks, backline equipment and related audio systems.
* Participate in routine maintenance and repairs of audio equipment as required.
* Work in a flexible environment where day-to-day activities may vary and require a proactive, solution-minded approach.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience as a sound engineer with working knowledge of digital and analogue mixing desks, musical instruments and backline equipment.
* Understanding of RF and MIDI control.
* Experience with different genres of entertainment is advantageous but not essential; the ability to think on your feet and adapt to changing needs is valued.
* Demonstrable experience in equipment maintenance and repairs.
