The Role
A reputable, Good Ofsted-rated secondary school in North Liverpool is seeking a fully qualified Design and Technology Teacher to join its established and well-resourced D&T department. This role is offered on a temporary basis initially, with a clear opportunity to progress to a permanent position for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a specific focus on Engineering and Woodwork. The school is looking for a teacher who can maintain high standards within the department and inspire pupils through engaging and practical learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver creative, engaging and well-structured D&T lessons to KS3 and KS4
* Teach Engineering and Woodwork confidently across the curriculum
* Plan, prepare and assess work in line with national curriculum requirements
* Maintain a safe, organised and compliant workshop environment
* Support the progress and development of students of varying abilities
* Contribute to departmental improvement and wider school initiatives
Essential Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
* Strong Engineering experience
* Proven Woodshop/Resistant Materials background
* Ability to deliver high-quality practical lessons
* Effective behaviour management skills
* Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one
