About the Role
We are currently looking to recruit experienced care assistants to work in a 20‑bed residential home in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. The home provides care for residents detained under the Mental Health Act, those with physical disabilities, challenging behaviours, and learning difficulties.
Responsibilities
The role mainly involves care and support work and personal care for service users, assisting residents in their daily activities throughout the shift, and carrying out other general duties. You will use your knowledge and experience to assist residents with their activities of daily living and provide a care‑centred approach around their detailed care package. You will also attend to general housekeeping duties, complete paperwork accurately and in detail and report accordingly.
Qualifications
We require sound experience in health and social care. If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, we can help you obtain it. We are happy to offer subsidised online training, and the certificates are yours to keep.
Required Skills and Requirements
* Referenceable work history
* In‑date mandatory training certificates (including moving and handling, safeguarding vulnerable adults and infection control)
* Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 12 months or registered on the update service
* A minimum of 3 months paid UK work experience in a care setting
Hours and Pay
You will be working from 08:00 to 20:00 on various days throughout the week. This role offers ongoing hours, and you will be paid £12.75 per hour.
