Role: In-patient nursing – all ages, UK-Med Register
Hours: UK-Med Register role, no guaranteed work, but deployment will be full-time if available.
Remuneration: GBP £3,400 – GBP £4,000 Gross per month (dependent on role level & context adversity)
Duration: Fixed-term contracts, typically between 4 and 12 weeks, depending on response needs.
Location: International and/or UK-Med response locations
About the Role
Are you an experienced In-Patient Nurse ready to deliver quality care to patients of all ages in humanitarian settings?
UK-Med, a frontline medical aid charity with over 30 years of experience rooted in the NHS, provides emergency medical support worldwide. We are seeking In-Patient Nurses (All Ages) passionate about delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care in complex, low-resource environments.
You need to be available to travel and work internationally at short notice for a minimum of 4–6 weeks, with longer availability highly desirable, to join our Register.
Responsibilities
1. Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult and paediatric patients in inpatient settings such as field hospitals, health centres, or mobile clinics.
2. Support the full patient journey from admission to discharge or referral, ensuring best practices in nursing care.
3. Mentor and support local health workers and partners, contributing to capacity-building in humanitarian settings.
Candidate Profile
You should be determined, high-performing, compassionate, collaborative, and committed to continuous learning and supporting others. Language skills are an advantage.
