Job Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at Middleton Top shop and visitor centre.
What will I be doing :
You will support the operation of the Visitor Centre during prescribed hours, sell items, and provide information and advice to countryside visitors, promoting a positive image of the council and excellent customer care.
Skills and Experience Required :
* Knowledge of the site is an advantage.
* Ability to handle enquiries and complaints clearly and professionally.
* Basic awareness of countryside issues such as rights of way and wildlife.
This position involves working at Middleton Top shop and visitor centre. Hours are 26 per week, from 9am to 2pm on Mondays or Tuesdays for site bankings and weekly finance forms, plus 9:30am to 5pm in the shop on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Occasional work at the nearby High Peak Junction may be required.
The role is physically demanding, involving replenishing deliveries and being on your feet all day.
This is a fixed-term role until 31/08/2025.
