The Client
Our client is a respected law firm with an established criminal law practice, known for providing high-quality legal support to individuals at often challenging times. They are now looking to recruit a committed and capable Crime Paralegal to support their growing team.

The Role
Working under the supervision of the Crime Supervisor / Head of Department, you will assist in the day-to-day handling of criminal matters while managing your own caseload. The role is varied, client-facing and hands-on, offering valuable exposure across the criminal justice process.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Assisting with fee-earning work under supervision
2. Creating and maintaining client files and documentation
3. Drafting client care correspondence
4. Liaising with courts, CPS, counsel and expert witnesses
5. Using the firm’s case management systems and adhering to file management procedures
6. Managing key dates, deadlines and reminders across matters
7. Ensuring timely and accurate billing
8. Handling routine client enquiries professionally
9. Attending client meetings in prison where required
10. Attending police stations for interviews (with a desire to complete Police Station Accreditation)
11. Providing administrative support to partners and senior team members as needed
12. Supporting and assisting colleagues where appropriate

13. Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) obligations
14. Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requirements (where applicable)
15. Solicitors’ Accounts Rules
16. Internal firm policies and procedures
