A well-established social housing provider is seeking a Reactive Maintenance Plumber to join its team on a temporary basis. This role is being advertised on a confidential basis due to operational requirements.
The Role
You will carry out responsive and planned plumbing maintenance across occupied social housing properties, ensuring works arepleted safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The role will suit apetent plumber with strong reactive maintenance experience and some water hygiene/legionella awareness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Delivering reactive plumbing repairs in occupied social housing properties.
2. Working on hot and cold-water systems, pipework, fittings, and associatedponents.
3. Carrying out installations, repairs, and replacements including:Taps, toilets, baths, and showersValves, outlets, and pipeworkMinor plumbing renewals
4. Supporting water hygiene and legionella control activities, including flushing, inspections, basic monitoring, and remedial tasks (training can be provided where required).
5. Accurately recording work via handheld devices and job management systems.
6. Delivering a professional, customer-focused service to tenants at all times.
Essential Requirements
7. NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent)
8. Proven experience in reactive maintenance within social housing or domestic settings
9. Full UK driving licence (clean preferred)
10. Basic DBS clearance – must be in place by start date
11. Ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload
12. Strong knowledge of health & safety and safe working practices
Desirable
13. Experience or awareness of water hygiene / legionella processes
14. Familiarity with HSG274 / ACOP L8 guidance
15. Previous experience working in occupied properties
