Here at Lawrie Veterinary Group, we have a fantastic opportunity for an exotic and small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team. We believe this is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced exotic animal practitioners and for motivated small animal vets to develop their skills in the challenging but very exciting and varied field of exotic animal medicine and surgery.
As a member of the small animal and exotic vet team, you will help with our busy and varied exotic caseload. You will be fully supported and encouraged by our three other exotic vets. Previous experience with exotic pets is wonderful, but this role would also suit someone who lacks experience but who is highly motivated to learn and develop their skills in this area. Further qualifications and pursuit of clinical interests will always be fully supported and encouraged.
We treat all variety of pets from falcons to fish, as well as taking care of zoological and avian collections which means that no two days are ever the same!
Rota patterns that work for you
Our people are at the heart of everything that we do, that’s why we know that work-life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career.
The rota will include working 40 hours over 4 days per week. Typically, you will be working two operating shifts per week and two consulting shifts per week. Weekends are on a rota basis and there are no out of hours. We do however cover our own inpatients during evening and weekends. There is no on-call. We would also consider part-time hours for this role for the right candidate.
