Job Description
The Material Control Specialist position is in Greenland, NH, and is temporary. The primary functions include performing daily warehouse duties to support Network Operations, OST, OSP Construction, Sales, and Customer Service. Routine duties include receiving, stocking, shipping, staging, tracking, planning, and allocation of regulated and non-regulated materials, inventory, and non-inventory materials. Additional responsibilities include requisitioning, inventory management, and all related system transactions for provisioning materials.

Role and Responsibilities
* Be fully trained and familiar with all functions involved in daily storeroom operations.
* Oversee special projects and additional tasks as assigned.
* Process orders accurately and timely for customer needs.
* Manage material transactions and annual inventory via PeopleSoft.
* Handle logistics for repaired materials and warranty checks, ensuring timely repairs.
* Maintain inventory levels efficiently and cost-effectively.
* Unload and receive various materials, including cables, poles, and steel pipes.
* Process requisitions for materials needed by staff and contractors.
* Assist customers at the counter and in the yard efficiently.
* Notify departments/customers upon arrival of ordered materials.
* Receive, clean, and store used or returned items.
* Operate forklifts safely, maintaining certifications.
* Keep storeroom and cable yard organized and systematic.
* Drive company vehicles when required.
* Package, label, and ship materials, maintaining accurate logs.
* Assist in other departmental tasks as directed.
* Perform all tasks safely, wearing appropriate PPE such as hard hats and steel-toed shoes.
* Lift and move weights of 100 pounds or more; perform other physical demands as necessary.
* Perform additional duties as required by the company.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
* Knowledge and Experience: Relevant experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
* Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED required.
* Skills: Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions; basic mathematical skills; effective communication skills.
* Reasoning and Problem-Solving: Apply common sense to carry out instructions and resolve inventory discrepancies and shortages efficiently.
* Personal Interaction: Work closely with team members, contractors, and internal customers.
* Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, and PeopleSoft is required.
* Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; forklift certification within 30 days.
