Successful, friendly and growing accountancy practice, established for over 30 years, seeks an experienced and detail-orientated Bookkeeper to join its well-established team.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for clients, processing transactions and supporting the team. A part-time position will be considered if required for the right candidate.
Bookkeeper responsibilities will include:
Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accuracy of postings
Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements
Process invoices, expenses and payroll journals
Prepare VAT returns
Maintain organised financial records and support year end processes
Liaise internally with directors, accounts and payroll teams
Liaise externally with clients, providing exceptional customer service
As Bookkeeper youll need:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper gained in a similar accountancy practice environment
Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and VAT
Relevant certifications or qualifications in Accounting advantageous
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, work independently and manage deadlines
Good communication and interpersonal skills
