Healthcare Assistant
Salary 21,659.72
Term time only
This position is full time 35 hours per week / Term time only (39 weeks) including 5.6-week holiday.
We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and adaptable person who enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team to join the Nursing team.
Nash is a further education College for young people who have a range of diagnosis including Autistic Spectrum Disorder and associated behavioural needs as well as Severe Learning Disabilities and Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities with associated complex physical needs.
We can offer you:
* The benefit of ensuring safe nursing practice, including giving enteral feeds, taking student observations, giving first aid to students and relevant medical procedures to deliver emergency care, assessment and identify relevant health needs of students are in place Effective communication channels with all multi-disciplinary teams, parents and relevant external agencies ensuring that each individual student’s health needs are met working under the supervision of the Health and Wellbeing Lead and the registered nurses in the team
* The chance to deepen your understanding of working in an educational setting and be able to work with students over the length of their stay at college (mostly 3 years) and make a real impact on their learning, their comfort and well- being.
* Managing a mixed caseload of students with severe and profound learning disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
