Power BI [Asset Management] Developer - Inside IR35

Brief
My client is looking for an experienced Power BI Developer, with extensive Asset Management experience, to join on a 3-month basis.
You'll act as the SME for Power BI, responsible for designing, developing and optimising Power BI solutions to support critical reporting, analytics and decision-making across the business.
Candidates for this role must be available to start Monday 5th January 2026.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop high quality Power BI reports, dashboards, data models, and semantic models
* Lead Power BI best practice adoption across the business
* Manage Power BI governance, ensuring secure, efficient and compliant platform usage
* Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into clear, actionable reporting solutions
Essential Skills and Experience
* Strong, proven experience in Power BI development within an Asset Management environment
* Strong, proven experience in advanced data modelling, DAX, and data transformation
* Expertise with star schemas, dimensional modelling semantic models, and dataflows
* Solid understanding of data security, access controls, and distribution practices
* Experience with data sources such as Snowflake, SQL, Databricks, and BW
* Knowledge of Analysis Services / Azure Analysis Services; DevOps processes

* Python, PowerShell, Azure, Databricks, Copilot experience
