We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a new permanent Specialist Mental Health Practitioner to work in the North Bournemouth Primary Care Network. The role is funded through the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS). Successful candidates must be experienced mental health practitioners with experience working in a Primary Care and/or Community Mental Health Team setting.

The practitioners will connect with secondary mental health services, providing a "bridge" between primary and secondary care, facilitating easier access to mental health support for service users.
The practitioner will be embedded within the Primary Care Network, working across three practices as part of the team. They will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain close links with the Community Mental Health Team and Steps to Wellbeing Service. Responsibilities include triage, assessment, interventions, and leading the development and delivery of specialist mental health training within the practice.
This role promotes collaboration between Primary and Secondary Mental Health Services as part of an Integrated Model of Care, focusing on local communities and GP practices to rebuild and strengthen healthcare teams. It involves providing targeted care, early assessment, treatment, and facilitating access to appropriate care pathways, including secondary care and third-sector services.
