Protocol Education are currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Pupil Referral Unit in Southend. You’ll be part of a dedicated team working with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. About the role: Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis Helping to manage behaviour and encourage engagement in learning Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils Working alongside experienced staff in a collaborative environment What we’re looking for: A positive, resilient and proactive attitude Strong communication and relationship-building skills A genuine interest in supporting young people with additional needs Experience is beneficial but not essential – the right mindset is key The details: Full-time, long-term position Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30 Based in Southend We welcome applicants from: Southend, Chelmsford, Basildon, Benfleet, Wickford, Rayleigh, Canvey Island, Billericay, Stanford-le-Hope, Grays and surrounding areas.
