Senior Social Work Practitioner (LBR 12)

Responsibilities
* Manage a complex caseload ensuring timely and effective assessment, planning, and intervention.
* Provide expert advice and guidance to social work teams and other stakeholders on case management.
* Supervise and support junior social workers to build their professional skills and confidence.
* Collaborate with multi-agency partners to develop integrated care plans and safeguard vulnerable individuals.
* Participate in quality assurance activities including case audits and service evaluations.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practice guidelines.
* Deliver training and workshops to enhance the knowledge and skills of staff and partners.
* Advocate for service users to ensure their needs and rights are prioritised within the care system.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with data protection standards.
Requirements
* Degree qualification in Social Work with current HCPC registration.
* Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in social work practice, ideally within a safeguarding or community care setting.
* Strong leadership skills with experience supervising and mentoring junior staff.
* Proven ability to manage complex and high-risk cases with sound professional judgement.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with service users, families, and partners.
* In‑depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and social care frameworks including safeguarding protocols.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Proficiency in case management systems and record keeping.
