Here at Aviva, we are currently in the market for a Home Claims Adjuster.
This is a home/field based position, visiting our customers across The UK. Therefore, in order to be considered you must have a full UK driving licence, as completing customer visits will an integral part of your role!
A bit about the job:
You will be responsible for providing a customer focused and cost-effective service by handling household claims from instruction to completion, within agreed financial authority limits. As a Home Claims Adjuster, your role will also involve reasonable travel across the UK and flexible working that may also include evenings and weekends.
The role involves being able to investigate, validate, manage and settle Residential Property claims in line with policy cover, philosophies and standards, with refer cases outside of agreed financial/competency matrix as well to undertake Physical Field assessments to maximise efficiencies and outcomes.
You will be updating customers regularly to ensure optimum customer service and claim experience, whilst managing work in progress, updating claims management, estimating systems to maintain a real-time view for our customers and the business and demonstrating effective cost management on all claims in addition to be able to identify/capture Fraud and Recovery opportunities. Finally, you will provide estimation of insurance related Repair utilising claims scoping software and possibly working out of area to support major incidents as required.
Industry preferred qualifications include; CERT CILA/ DIP CILA, CERT CII/DIP CII, BDMA Ins - but are not essential.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
* Knowledge of the insurance industry related to Residential (Home) property.
* Technical buildings knowledge; current best practice methodology and buildings pathology.
* Claims scoping and management software experience (Symbility, Exactaware etc).
* Awareness of Flood/EOW/Fire damage management best practice and principles, including knowledge of health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation.
* Commercial awareness and appreciation of economic environment.

* Starting salary circa £40,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
