The Role In this varied role, you’ll be prepared to respond to a wide variety of incidents including fires, rescues, and hazardous situations. You’ll also play a vital role in community education, fire prevention work, and promoting safety across our airport. In addition you will also work with other departments to provide a wide range of essential operational functions such as wildlife control, aircraft de-icing, baggage handling and security. To be successful you will need to be a team player, able to work within strict safety guidelines and be confident about making decisions, sometimes in challenging situations. With a genuine desire to support others, you will have a positive attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure. You do not need firefighting experience – we will train you. You just need the potential, motivation, and resilience to succeed! Please be aware that our team work on a shift pattern which includes early mornings, late evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
