SEN Teaching Assistant - Bath - April 2025
Location: Bath, SomersetPosition: Full-Time (M-F, 8:30 - 15:30)Daily Rate: £90 - £100 per day DOE ( inc. holiday pay)
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Bath. As a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support for children with a range of special educational needs. Our school is committed to creating a positive, inclusive environment where every student can thrive in both education and training.
In this rewarding role, the SEN Teaching Assistant will provide one-to-one and small group support, adapting resources and using specialized methods to ensure students with SEN can access the curriculum. Whether working with children with Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, physical disabilities, or emotional/behavioural difficulties, your impact will be significant.
Key responsibilities for the SEN Teaching Assistant include collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver differentiated lessons, supporting students' academic and social development, and monitoring progress. You will help foster independence, confidence, and well-being in each student, ensuring they receive the best possible education and training.
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
* Experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
* Familiarity with specialist interventions and strategies, including PECS, Makaton, and Team Teach.
* First Aid training or other relevant qualifications.
* Knowledge of sensory integration and therapeutic support strategies.
* A passion for supporting students with complex needs in education and training settings.
