Job Opportunity: SEN Lecturer – Challenging Behaviour and SEMH Specialist
Location: Mitcham (CR4)
Hours: 8:30 am – 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: Paid to scale
MANDATORY: DBS ON UPDATE SERVICE
Role Overview: Join our dynamic team! We are actively seeking a dedicated SEN Lecturer with a passion for addressing challenging behavior and SEMH to join a reputable SEN school in Mitcham (CR4). Work closely with a group of six students, providing tailored support and enjoy the flexibility of working hours for a balanced and impactful role in the education sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet diverse student needs.
2. Provide targeted support to students with severe challenging behavior, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
3. Utilize your expertise in SEMH to create strategies for students’ emotional and mental well-being.
4. Collaborate with the school’s multidisciplinary team for a holistic approach to student development.
5. Maintain a safe and secure learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
6. Qualified teacher status.
7. ️ Substantial experience addressing severe challenging behavior within an educational setting.
8. Enhanced DBS on the update service.
9. Flexibility to work from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
10. Bonus: Experience as a youth worker, contributing to a holistic approach in student support.
