A rare and exciting opportunity for an Estimator to join a well-established, family-run contractor specialising in flat roofing systems for tier one clients across the South. This role offers a strong mix of autonomy, technical development, and involvement in high-value commercial projects.
Are you an Estimator experienced in producing detailed Bills of Quantities? Do you enjoy managing your own workload and building relationships with key clients? This role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to play a key part in a growing business.
With over 20 years' experience, this contractor has built a strong reputation delivering flat roofing systems across sectors including education, healthcare, student accommodation, and residential developments. Working with established tier one and blue‑chip clients, the business is now entering a sustained growth phase, with a clear five‑year plan to significantly increase turnover.
You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for new-build flat roofing projects, from initial enquiry through to submission. This will involve analysing drawings and specifications, pricing works, and ensuring all submissions are commercially sound.
You will have experience in an estimating role within construction and be confident producing Bills of Quantities. Previous exposure to roofing systems is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided. A proactive attitude and strong attention to detail are key.

The Role - Responsibilities
* Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
* Breaking down tender packages to produce accurate Bills of Quantities
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project requirements
* Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the tender process
* Managing variations and following up on submitted tenders
The Person - Requirements
* Experience in estimating within the construction industry
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Motivated, reliable, and keen to develop within a growing company
